Over the years, the research conducted by the Museum has brought to light some archaeological sites that constitute a sort of widespread archaeological park, specifying that only in some cases the sites are organized for the visit. In particular we point out:

Tomb of the Pedata: it is a tomb of V sec. B.C. found in the Etruscan necropolis of the homonymous locality; presents a single room dug into the sand with a double-sloped ceiling decorated with fake chest of drawers with red coloring, it resulted in the excavation completely looted during the nineteenth century excavations also documented by an inscription engraved on the wall "W Maria" religious born to counter Napoleonic lay ideas. The tomb can be visited by prior arrangement with a visit to the Museum.

Etruscan farm of Poggio Bacherina: From the Vecchia Senese road a short path leads to the archaeological area with the remains of an Etruscan farm of the II-I century. B.C. The walls of the structure that make up the plant are visible; for a better understanding of the site we have made some reconstructions of some elements found during the excavation of the '80s, such as ziri, the loom for weaving, the tank to squeeze the grapes and inserted some choreographic elements indicating the ancient function of the farm as the silhouette of a donkey. The place is freely accessible and there is a panel with information on the site.

Roman baths of Mezzomiglio
Near the inhabited center of Chianciano Terme in the area of the Valle Park, it is easy to see the archaeological area of the Roman baths dating back to the first century. a.C to II sec. A.D. Currently the area is not equipped for visits, and requires restoration and safety measures. We hope that the appropriate institutions will soon be able to intervene to make the interesting archaeological site available to the public, which consists of a large pool for diving (swimming pool) where still springs a spring and small baths, complete with calidarium and frigidarium.

Roman Villa of the Camerelle
Located about 2 km from the city center. The area, located on the top of a hill, is not equipped for the visit; in any case, the place presents reasons of interest. Of the Roman villa the basement remains visible with the remains of a large cistern from which an aqueduct began that supplied water to the service structures located along the Via Cassia Antica, whose route immediately wound downstream.

Other sites do not show significant remains, however, since most of the materials exhibited in the Museum have been found here, it seems useful to point out to them:
Necropolis of Tolle: located near the pass of the Villa della Foce, where we have brought to light over a thousand Etruscan tombs.
Sacred area of the Fucoli: located in the wooded area south of the town where in the 80s of the last century the remains of the Frontone exposed to the Museum came to light.
Necropoli dei Morelli, located south-east of the town of Chianciano from which also comes the rich Tomb of the Princes exhibited at the Museum.

Teacher training
The management of the museum has made itself available to carry out refresher courses on the history of the ancient population of our territory for teachers of primary and secondary schools of first degree.

Adult education
In collaboration with the Geo-Archaeological Association every Saturday winter, conferences are open to all on archaeological, historical and current issues, with a prestigious speaker from various Italian universities and educational institutions.

Restorations
Following the imposing amount of archaeological finds found in the archaeological excavation areas of our territory, the museum, with the passing of the years, has equipped itself with a small but well-equipped restoration laboratory. This choice was motivated by the need to make the public participate in the discoveries made and at the same time not to aggravate the work of the restoration facilities of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. The laboratory carries out the restoration of the ceramic and metal material under the supervision and supervision of the National Museum of Chiusi.

Experimental Archeology (Paid Activities)
In collaboration with the Geoarcheological Association of Chianciano Terme, the museum staff carries out experimental activities mainly aimed at primary and secondary school children:
- Laboratory of Etruscan writing, using, as in the time of the Etruscans, special tablets with wax to be engraved with a "stylus", at the end the child will be able to write short texts (for example his own name and that of his family) using the Etruscan alphabet;
- From the thread to the fabric: wool, cast, frame. Children will see how from the wool, using the spindle, you get to the thread that will then use on a small frame making the fabric;
- Restoration laboratory with search for attachments and gluing and subsequent with graphic documentation of the vase; at the end the boy will have restored and realized a technical drawing of a vase;
- The documentation of the archaeological finds after the excavation: realization of drawing with relative technical cataloging according to the current regulations of the archaeological cataloging.

Treasure hunt
For the school groups who expressly request it, there will be a special guided tour of the museum; the visit is carried out by specialized personnel able to motivate and capture, in a joyful and non-academic way, the attention of the children; during the visit, particular emphasis will be placed on some objects in common use, at the end the children will have to "rediscover" these objects and identify them on a special print on which they will then have to write their name in Etruscan
